Classical:NEXT, the largest international networking event for classical music professionals, is coming to Berlin for its eleventh edition. Around 1,000 visitors from 50 countries on all continents represent all areas, the live sector, labels and the education sector. Label managers, presenters, agents, artists, publishers and representatives of institutions will come together in the German capital for five days (May 13-17).
The aim is not only to meet old and future partners and make business contacts, but above all to discuss new approaches for the future of the genre - across all genres: where is classical music and, in a broader sense, art music heading?
16 showcase concerts, most of which take place at Berlin's alternative cultural center Holzmarkt, present new artistic concepts both musically and in terms of concert formats and audience interaction. The showcases - shown here are the 8 Pipers for Philip Glass - were selected by an international jury, as was the conference program.
Programme Showcases
13. May 2024
Opening concert
Pierre Boulez Saal
14.-17. May 2024

“We come out of this break reinvigorated. Classical:NEXT is back for good and I am extremely happy to see how our new partners and team are dedicated to taking the spirit and idea of our network to the next level and into the upcoming edition in May this year. But also beyond: together with our community of classical music trailblazers from all over the world we will develop the event and all-year platform further to enable ongoing professional dialogues, changing the genre for the better.”
Fabienne Krause, Managing Director
