harmonia mundi is a French label that was founded in 1958 in Arles in the south of France by Bernard Coutaz (1922-2010) under the maxim "De la musique d'abord - music first!".
Now part of PIAS, it continues to be a seal of quality for the highest musical quality, which guarantees long-term collaboration with musicians and ensembles such as Isabelle Faust, Antoine Tamestit, Jean-Guihen Queyras, Alexander Melnikov, the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, the RIAS Chamber Choir and Raphael Pichon with his ensemble Pygmalion, but also constantly supports young talents such as cellist Bruno Philippe, violinist Théotime Langlois de Swarte and baritone Samuel Hasselhorn and accompanies their careers sustainably and over the long term.
Théotime Langlois de Swarte received the "Diapason d'Or de l'année 2022ˮ for his album with music by Vivaldi, Locatelli and Leclair as well as the ICMA Award 2022 (instrumental soloist category) for The Mad Lover; he was "Ambassador of the Year 2022ˮ of the European Early Music Network (REMA) and received numerous other awards.
