For how long has the label been existing and what has changed in your daily business over the years?

Nicolas Bartholomée: Aparté has existed for 15 years. The label has welcomed more and more artists thanks to the quality of its support and to the special attention put on the sound. Moreover, its development is aiming at welcoming and accompanying the artists's overall musical projects while being a real support in all their areas of music production.

Which three words would you choose to best describe the label?

Sound quality, top artistic projects, originality in the repertoire.

A recording which left a significant impact and shaped the development of the label (and why)?

The first album recorded for Aparté : "Dreams" by cellist Ophélie Gaillard and the London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The success of the album was quite unexpected, but it set the tone for the development of the catalogue and gave Aparté a great impulse.

Carte blanche – a recording you would like to realize, left aside all time and money issues?

An album celebrating Roberto Alagna's 60th birthday with the Morphing Chamber Orchestra.

Your wish for the next five years?

Continue to promote the most talented young artists of our generation.
